Bleach offers a delightful blend of highly diverse front-line characters, most of whom possess likable qualities and admirable personality traits. Honestly, let's leave it to Tite Kubo to make characters intensely relatable, regardless of them being human or not.

All you Bleach fans might be able to resonate with a lot of the characters on the show, but what does your Chinese Zodiac have to say about that? Let's take a look at which character from the ever-popular anime you are, based on your designated Chinese Zodiac sign!

12 The Year of the Rat: Ginjo

A rat's personality is characterized by harboring a strong passion for success which can often lead them to be greedy and deceptive. They're highly alert, adaptive, and observant creatures who are quick on their feet. Rat personalities are pretty good at communicating with people and being social, as such they are usually surrounded by friends and can get along well with just about anyone.

Ginjo is the ideal rat. He embodies all of those qualities - the manipulation and deception - evident from his motives to steal Ichigo's fullbring. He could also strategically mold situations into his favor. Notice how easy it was for him to convince Ichigo that he was actually helping him out. Truly a rat... or maybe Ichigo isn't all that bright?

11 The Year of the Tiger: Renji

The tiger's personality traits include confidence, anger, and determination with just a hint (more like a spoonful) of cockiness. Who other than Renji Abarai would fit that category? To be fair, Grimmjow does also come to mind, but there is something that sets them apart. You might be surprised to know that tigers can also exhibit signs of depression.

Recall that whenever Renji loses in battle, he morphs into a depressed creature harboring self-doubt. So, this is more 'Renji territory'. Tigers tend to be frank but most importantly, they're strong-willed. In much the same way, Renji is someone who fights for what he believes in, even if the implication is death.

10 The Year of the Goat: Coyote Starrk

Coyote Starrk with a straight face in Bleach.

Talking about the most laid-back animal of the Chinese Zodiac, you can't help but picture the personality of the most chill villain out there; Coyote Starrk. Exhibiting traits of elegance and pacifism, Starrk truly embodies a goat's personality.

He isn't one to love bloodshed -- he prefers avoiding fights and confrontation unless absolutely necessary. Moreover, much like the goat, he is aloof and unenthusiastic, often found taking a nap without a care.

9 The Year of the Dog: Matsumoto

Matsumoto Rangiku personifies some definitive dog traits -- warmth, loyalty, and candidness. But, most importantly, she's a straight-up genuine person. As the lieutenant of the 10th division and second in command to Toshiro, Matsumoto is almost always by his side.

She exhibits deep loyalty toward Toshiro, despite the fact that he is constantly annoyed by her aloofness and casual humor. This is especially evident when she willingly fights with Harribel’s Fracción just so Toshiro could fight her without facing any trouble. She's also courageous in battle; morphing from a flirty, casual person to a damn good strategist.

8 The Year of the Rooster: Grimmjow

Roosters are characterized by their impatience as well as their overconfident nature. They tend to be hot-tempered and have a highly strong sense of dignity and self-respect. Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez totally fits the bill. Recall when he asked Orihime to heal Ichigo just so they could have a fair battle -- pretty noble.

He also has somewhat of a warm heart, much like one of the traits of the rooster. The most important similarity, however, is that roosters have a quick mind and are highly displeased with lagging behind.

7 The Year of the Pig: Inoue

Much like the pig, Inoue Orihime is calm and cool-headed. She is also fiercely loyal and positive, often always looking on the bright side of the stickiest of situations. She's also pretty honest and frank when it comes to social interactions. With a strong heart and an unfortunately gullible nature, she definitely embodies some prominent qualities of a pig.

6 The Year of the Horse: Ichigo

Much like the character traits of a horse, Ichigo Kurosaki embodies passion and zeal. He is incredibly strong-willed -- one to lay down his life in order to protect his friends and what he believes in. Whether it was Rukiya's execution or Orihime's kidnapping, he did not tire fighting for them with every bit of strength he had.

Most importantly, horse personalities are typically liked by everyone and thus, have no trouble making friends. That is evident throughout the show because as soon as Ichigo reveals his true personality, people immediately start to like him.

5 The Year of the Ox: Kenpachi

The perfect blend of endurance, strength, and short-tempered nature, Zaraki Kenpachi is the ox in any shape or form. Symbolizing valor and unwavering determination in the face of adversity, an ox rarely exhibits signs of weakness.

And interestingly, an ox is usually cool till it reaches its limit -- that's when the big guns come out. You can't help but relate all those qualities to Kenpachi's cocky demeanor that damn well enough to intimidate even the toughest of enemies.

4 The Year of the Rabbit: Ukitake

This one's a total no-brainer. Ukitake is as mild and mellow as they come. Rabbits tend to symbolize compassion and sensitivity, much like the soft-spoken and laid back nature of the honorable Captain Ukitake Jushiro.

Due to their serene nature, rabbits very rarely get upset or worked up. They are friendly and very outgoing; always preferring to be in other people's company. Ukitake is nothing, if not respected and instantly liked by everyone he meets. He is, in all respects, a cute little bunny.

3 The Year of the Dragon: Aizen

Sosuke Aizen in Bleach.

Dragons symbolize strong character traits such as dominance, ambition, and authority. They're highly driven creatures who are never afraid of challenges. They prefer to live by their own formulated rules and regulations, completely indifferent to what the norms have to say (cut to Aizen Sosuke and his side-hustle of experimenting on living creatures).

He could not care less about what people had to say about his method of doing things. He had his own ways and he was never afraid of any obstacles that might hinder his mission. There could not be a better match.

2 The Year of the Snake: Gin

Gin Ichimaru in Bleach.

Snakes are known to be enigmatic creatures, much like Gin Ichimaru and his creepy smile and eyes that almost never open. The most notable comparison, however, is the fact that snakes have the capacity to wait until the time is right to seek revenge.

Throughout the show, Gin has done nothing but pretend and wait patiently as the perfect moment unfolds so that he could avenge Matsumoto, his unwavering love interest.

1 The Year of the Monkey: Urahara

Urahara in Bleach

Urahara Kisuke is certainly no stranger to strong wits and cunning ploys. His spirit animal is truly the monkey as it tends to be deceptively sharp while maintaining a certain level of mischief.

Monkeys are clever and creative and never waver in the face of a challenge. But most importantly, monkeys are highly manipulative and tend to trick people into doing their work them. Does that sound like Urahara to you? (yes, right on the money).
