In a recent interview with for the January 2020 edition of Newtype, My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising director Nagasaki Kenji revealed critical details regarding the story, characters, location and setting for the upcoming film.While the excerpt of the interview provides several tasty tidbits, one piece of information that stood out was when this new story takes place. When asked about when in the official timeline the new film falls, Nagasaki had this to say: “Horikoshi-Sensei told us that he wanted the movie to take place in the winter. Ever since its very first season, My Hero Academia has garnered a large fan base across the globe with its unique heroes and villains, stunning storytelling and spectacularly animated action sequences.
