First published in 1990, Jordan's The Wheel of Time fantasy series consists of fourteen novels. Not all of those were written by Jordan. Instead, Brandon Sanderson stepped in following Jordan's death in 2007 to complete the remaining installments using the original author's notes. The series, which is a cornerstone of modern epic fantasy, is set in a universe where only women can use magic. The saga story follows a group of young villagers as they come to terms with their own powers while being drawn into a worldwide conflict.

Produced by Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television, Wheel of Time stars Rosamund Pike, Josha Stradowski, Rand al’Thor, Zoë Robins, Barney Harris, Uta Briesewitz and Madeleine Madden. No premiere date has been officially been announced by Amazon at this time.
