Joss Whedon isn't directing any Marvel films -- at least for the foreseeable future -- but discussing his next movie, the fan-favorite helmer revealed the kind of Marvel movie he'd consider working on, were he to return to the franchise he helped build with 2012's "The Avengers."

Speaking to TheWrap about a possible return to Marvel for a "female-driven" film, Whedon said, "Yeah, of course. Although I tend more towards the Jessica Jones-ey kind of stories than the delightful Supergirl stories that my daughter wants."

Not much is known about Whedon's next movie, except that he's currently writing the film, and it follows "...a girl who goes through some unbelievable sh-t."

"Jessica Jones" Season 2 is expected to drop on Netflix this fall.
