The river of Avengers: Age of Ultron information keeps flowing, with new details coming to the surface about three of the non-Ultron antagonists in the film: Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch and the Vision.

At least, these three start out on Ultron's side; where they end up is anyone's guess. For Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch's part, director Joss Whedon described the sibling duo as being "on Team Ultron, which makes things really hard for the Avengers because all of sudden they're dealing with powers that they're not used to."

“With the [first] Avengers, everybody pretty much had the power of being able to punch somebody,” Whedon told Entertainment Weekly. “And now we have a woman who can get inside your head and move objects, and a boy that can move faster than anything, and a robot [Ultron] who can self-replicate and is out of his mind. So all of sudden, it’s a darker, weirder, tougher world that they’re living in.”

As for the Vision, Whedon won't say too much, except that J.A.R.V.I.S. voice actor Paul Bettany's casting is "not coincidence." Robert Downey Jr., who's had Bettany's voice ringing in his Iron Man helmet over the course of four Marvel movies, was a bit more forthcoming on the actor's turn as the Vision.

"It’s like if you think about the five different ways that [The Vision] could come together, this one’s definitely the most interesting of the five," he teased. "I was running other scenarios and I’ve seen it progress over drafts. It was just kind of really good, right from the start."

Exactly how Ultron brings Vision to life, and how the "synthezoid" reacts once he's part of the world, remains to be seen; we'll all find out when Age of Ultron premieres on May 1, 2015.
