WARNING: This article contains major spoilers for "Ressurection," the What We Do in the Shadows Season 2 premiere.

What We Do in the Shadows kicked off Season 2 with a major guest star: Avengers: Engame's Benedict Wong, who plays the sorcerer Wong in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

In the Season 2 premiere, the vampires found themselves in need of a necromancer after their favorite familiar Topher (Haley Joel Osment) died. "I happen to have a very good old pal, Wallace, who is excellently proficient in the art of necromancy," Nadja announced.

"No, he's excellent at the dark art of ripping you off. These people are shysters. They're obsessed with the up-sell," Laszlo shot back -- and he was quickly proven right after they arrived at Wallace's hut outside of the Staten Island School of Performing Arts.

As played by Wong, Wallace greeting the vampires and Guillermo outside his hut. "You seek the necromancer?" he asked with a dramatic twirl of his cape. When he pushed back his hood, he revealed himself as the Doctor Strange star. Nadja immediately ran to him and greeted him with a hug.

Upon entering his hut, Wallace attempted to sell the vampires several charms -- and some license plate keychains. However, he quickly changed his tune when they asked him to resurrect Topher. He demanded several items and $350 in exchange: "I can't stress enough the $350 cash. Otherwise, the spells don't work."

However, even with the $350, Wallace's resurrection spell didn't go quite right. After scatting for a few moments, Wallace got distracted by his phone during the spell. As a result, the spell didn't fully reanimate Topher; he came back as a brain-dead zombie.

Though Guillermo insisted Topher wasn't right, the vampires ignored him -- up until Topher tried to drown Guillermo in the same koi pond he died in. Fortunately, Nandor stepped in and saved Guillermo, but the jig was up for Topher. They brought the zombie back to Wallace. Wallace insisted he couldn't give them a refund, but he did take Topher off their hands and gave them each a license plate keychain for free.

A mid-credits sequence revealed what Wallace had planned for Topher. The necromancer brought Topher into his basement, where he kept several other zombies. All of the zombies were put to work making license plate keychains. "I'll check on you next year," Wallace said and made a hasty retreat.

Further, expect to see more exciting guest stars, including Star Wars alum Mark Hamill.

Airing Wednesdays at 10 pm ET/PT on FX, What We Do in the Shadows stars Kayvan Novak, Natasia Demetriou, Matt Berry, Mark Proksch and Harvey Guillen. Taika Waititi co-produces alongside Jemaine Clement, Scott Rudin, Paul Simms and Garrett Basch.
