Jermaine Clement, who created FX's What We Do In The Shadows TV series based on his 2014 film of the same name, has officially appeared in both seasons as his character from the original film, Vladislav the Poker. Now, Clement has spoken on his future plans for the role.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Clement first clarified that audiences should not expect his character to appear in every season, then added, "I wasn't even going to do this until the day before, because we had trouble getting anyone in time." Clement also mentioned that he happened to be in the area of shooting that day and decided to step in.

Clement went on to say that, while he had a great time performing alongside the What We Do in the Shadows cast, his comedic acting skills may not have been as sharp as they used to be. "Mostly I've been writing lately and doing a little bit of acting, but the acting I've been doing is in a drama," he said, "It had been a while since I'd done a comedy."

The 2014 What We Do In The Shadows film was created by Clement and Thor: Ragnarok's Taika Waititi. The TV series began airing on FX in March 2019 and has run for two seasons. A third season of the series has already been announced, though no official plot details have been released.

Airing Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX, What We Do in the Shadows stars Kayvan Novak, Natasia Demetriou, Matt Berry, Mark Proksch and Harvey Guillen. Taika Waititi co-produces alongside Jemaine Clement, Scott Rudin, Paul Simms and Garrett Basch.
