FX's What We Do in the Shadows pilot has enlisted Hellboy actor Doug Jones and three others.

According to Variety, Doug Jones, Beanie Feldstein, Jake McDorman and Mark Proksch have all joined the half-hour comedy pilot set at FX. While their roles are currently unknown, it's expected that all four will potentially recur on the series should it be picked up by the network. They join previously announced cast members Kayvan Novak, Matt Berry, Natasia Demetriou and Harvey Guillen.

Jones is coming off of the critically acclaimed The Shape of Water, a film that reunited him with Hellboy director Guillermo del Toro. He also currently stars in the CBS All Access series Star Trek: Discover as Saru. Both Feldstein and McDorman recently appeared in the Oscar-nominated film Lady Bird, while Proksch is coming off of projects like Better Call Saul and Decker.

The series is a spinoff of the critically acclaimed film of the same name, which served as a mockumentary of vampires in modern times. The film starred Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi, who also wrote and directed the feature. A proposed television spinoff was first announced back in 2016, though a pilot commitment wasn't revealed for the project until this past January. Clement and Waititi will serve as executive producers on the series, with Clement stepping in as the writer of the pilot and Waititi set to take on the role of director.
