SPOILER WARNING: This article contains major spoilers for "The Trial," the latest episode of What We Do in the Shadows.

According to What We Do in the Shadows, some of your favorite Marvel Cinematic Universe stars are vampires. In "The Trial," the latest episode, protagonists Nandor, Nadja and Laszlo were accused of murdering Baron Afanas and brought before the Vampiric Council. The Vampirc Council was packed to the brim with big-name guest stars from the MCU, DC Universe and beyond.

The episode's first major guest star was Kristen Schaal. Schaal, who worked with series co-creator Jemaine Clement on Flight of the Concords, is best known for her roles in Bob's Burgers, The Last Man on Earth and Toy Story 3. In "The Trial," she played the Vampiric Council's summoner; she arrived at vampires' Staten Island home to let them know their presence before the Council was required.

When the trio arrived at the Vampiric Council, they came face-to-face with Guardians of the Galaxy star Dave Bautista's Garrett. Believing Garrett to be a member of the Vampiric Council, Nandor, Nadja and Laszlo attempted to convince him they were innocent. However, Garrett himself was a prisoner. "They say I turned a baby into a vampire and left it in the Bronx," Garrett revealed. "If I ever found out who did it, I'm going to take a dagger and stab them 5,000 times." Seeing as Laszlo was, in fact, the one who committed this crime, they beat a hasty retreat.

The Vampiric Council itself included illustrious members like Doctor Strange's Tilda Swinton, Blade alum Wesley Snipes, Gotham guest star Paul Reubens, The Flash's Danny Trejo and Westworld star Evan Rachel Wood. What's more, the original cast from 2014's What We Do in the Shadows film -- Viago (Taika Waititi), Vladislav (Jemaine Clement) and Deacon (Jonny Brugh) -- appeared on the Council as well.

Viago took it upon himself to go around the room and introduce everyone. "Now, to introduce the leaders of the Council, starting here with Tilda, pretty much our leader. She's the one who makes all the big decisions," he explained. "We also have Evan, the Immortal Princess of the Undead, or just Evan. Danny -- hey, Danny! -- with his shirt off, as usual, cool Mexican tattoos all over his chest. We also have Paul... Calling in via Skype, we have Wesley over there, the Daywalker." Much to the trio's dismay, their roommate Colin Robinson was also on the Council as a local representative.

Though these are the main Vampiric Council members, Viago mentioned two others that were invited but could not attend. He namedropped Rob, as in Twilight star Robert Pattinson, as well as The Lost Boys' Kiefer Sutherland. He revealed Kiefer was too busy to attend, at which Swinton expressed some surprise.

Unfortunately for Nandor, Nadja and Laszlo, this star-studded Council ultimately found them guilty of murder. They were sentenced to die by sunlight and thrown into a well, where they waited for the sun to creep over to their shadowy corner and kill them. Colin appeared with an umbrella just as they started to burn. With some help from Guillermo, they shielded the vampires from the sun and brought them home.

Airing Wednesdays at 10 pm ET/PT on FX, What We Do in the Shadows stars Kayvan Novak, Natasia Demetriou, Matt Berry, Harvey Guillen and Doug Jones. Taika Waititi directs the series and co-produces alongside Jemaine Clement, Scott Rudin, Paul Simms and Garrett Basch.
