Prior to his death in Avengers: Endgame, Tony Stark/Iron Man was one of the most brilliant people in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, using his incredible skills to build armored suits and other technology to protect the world. While Tony's story certainly emphasized technology, the hero met up with Doctor Stephen Strange in Avengers: Infinity War, which gave him a taste of the mystic arts. As a result of the two having similar personalities, they clashed quite a bit in that film. However, considering just how similar Tony and Doctor Strange were, what might have happened if Iron Man had instead become the MCU's Sorcerer Supreme?
For the purposes of this video, we're going to reinvent Iron Man's origin story. While things will start the same as they did in 2008's Iron Man, Yinsen will actually be a sorcerer, thus revealing the mystic arts to the hero. Yinsen will still sacrifice his own life to save Tony, which will lead the hero to learn the mystic arts from the Ancient One. That being said, he won't rely solely on magic. Instead, Tony will also use his tech to make him even more powerful.

Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, it's not totally clear just what shape the next phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will take. While there's a good indication the characters Disney acquired from 21st Century Fox will soon arrive, there's not much solid information on just when or how that might happen. At this time, Robert Downey Jr. seems unlikely to return to the MCU in any capacity for the foreseeable future. That means, it's unlikely he's going to become the Sorcerer Supreme at any point down the line unless something big changes.
