A new job listing on Facebook confirms that WB Games Montreal's next project will take place in the DC Universe, though it's currently unknown from which property it will draw.
"WB Games Montréal is looking for a Technical Director to lead our team of programmers," the post says. "Do you want to join a passionate team working on expanding the DC universe in the interactive space? "
In 2015, WB Games Montreal was rumored to be working on a Superman game, though it's never been officially announced. Another rumor recently surfaced that Rocksteady -- the studio responsible for three of the four games in the Batman: Arkham series -- would helm a project starring the Man of Steel, but details on that are both dubious and scarce.
Although it's entirely possible that an upcoming project will focus on Batman or another character in the Bat Family, WB Games President David Haddad hinted in 2016 that future partnerships with DC may focus on other characters. There may also be multiple games in the works. In 2015, job listings confirmed that WB Games Montreal would be developing two new DC comics titles, though it's unclear if that's still the case.
WB Games Montreal has worked on DC's video game adaptations before, having developed 2013's Arkham Origins, the third part in the Batman: Arkham series. That game was less well-received than Rocksteady's installments. However, the studio has never been far from the franchise, having created DLC for Arkham Knight, such as the Batgirl: A Matter of Family DLC.
