Westworld might not be returning until 2020, but it's formally announced the newest actor to join the cast.

Deadline reports that Lena Waithe is joining the cast of the sci-fi series. Best known for her role as Denise for Master of None (where she won an Emmy Award for an episode she wrote), Waithe has taken on a secretive role for the series.

The newest season of the HBO series has just entered production, so there's no real indication of what role she'll take on in the new season or who she'll interact with.

She joins fellow new cast member Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad) for the upcoming season of the series. Based on the 1973 science fiction film of the same name written and directed by Michael Crichton, Westworld centers around a futuristic set of theme parks with robotic duplicates of humanity, who have turned on their former masters.

The second season of the hit HBO series ended with a number of these "hosts" in the real world, intending to fight back against humanity on their turf.

Developed for television by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, Westworld stars Evan Rachel Wood, Thandie Newton, Rodrigo Santoro, James Marsden, Jeffrey Wright, Tessa Thompson, Luke Hemsworth, Jimmi Simpson, Anthony Hopkins, and Ed Harris.
