Iruma-Kun is a comedic isekai series starring Iruma Suzuki, a kid whose deadbeat parents sold him to the netherworld after he spent his entire childhood working to pay off their debt. The chair-demon at Bablys adopts Iruma as his grandson and enrolls him in the Misfit Class, where he makes many unique friends.
However, there's a caveat: Iruma can't reveal that he's human since the demons might have him for lunch. The characters in Iruma-Kun range from endearingly eccentric to downright campy, but many are undeniably cool and stand out amid the comedic chaos.
10 Andro Jazz Is A Clever Trickster
The Misfit Class is full of Bablys' most eccentric personalities. However, one who especially stands out is Andro Jazz. Jazz is a schemer who puts more effort into pick-pocketing than getting good grades. He especially loves trying to pull one over on Kalego.
Jazz is somewhat of a troublemaker who always does what he wants, regardless of what others think. Jazz comes from a long lineage of thieves and inherited their bloodline ability, which allows him to steal someone else's things in the easiest way possible.
9 Sabnock Looks More Intimidating Than He Really Is
Sabnock may look intimidating, but he's never mean-spirited. He's just passionate and strives to become the Demon King. Sabnock is confident in his abilities, but still humble enough to recognize that he's got a long way to go before being worthy of such a lofty title. He has a friendly rival with Iruma and always praises his accomplishments.
Sabnock is one of the strongest characters in Iruma-Kun. Sabnock can forge weapons out of thin air based on whatever he's biting. To make it easier, he wears a necklace with three types of metal to choose from.
8 Alikred's Devious Personality Is Endearing
Alikred is the physical manifestation of the Ring of Gluttony. After Iruma became a Gimel, Alikred's personality really started coming out. Alikred is a devious prankster who always has a handful of memorable one-liners whenever he talks to Iruma. He's also always rooting for Iruma to succeed since his growth in Bablys directly correlates to his physical growth.
Despite Alikred's antics, he genuinely cares about Iruma. He only cast that spell on Iruma to make him more confident. Alikred even went out of his way to make it look like Iruma had wings to keep his humanity a secret.
7 Kalego Is All Bark & No Bite
Kalego may be ranked as a Khet and intimidate his students, but he's not actively trying to hold the class back. Sure, he may dislike their wild antics and especially detest that Iruma turned him into a familiar, but he doesn't want to see anything bad happen to them.
Even before becoming a teacher, Kalego had no tolerance for nonsense and often yelled, "SILENCE!" at other students in the hallway if they were annoying him. Despite his antagonistic and prideful personality, Kalego's hobbies are actually pretty cool. He's a talented musician who can play multiple instruments. He also enjoys caring for cacti in his free time.
6 Asmodeus' Cool Fire Magic & Passionate Personality Inspires Others
Asmodeus Alice picked a fight with Iruma on the first day of school. He lost, and now he spends his days tending to all of Iruma's needs. Iruma doesn't understand why Asmodeus puts him on such a high pedestal, but he appreciates his friendship.
Asmodeus looks down on anybody who isn't Iruma. However, he's still garnered an army of fangirls. They admire his passionate personality, impressive fire magic, charming disposition, and good looks. Asmodeus is one of the series' strongest characters, and his super move, summoning a fiery gorgon snake, is too cool for its own good.
5 Ronove Is Flashy & Loves Being The Center Of Attention
Ronove Romiere is an attention-seeker who loves standing out. Ronove debuted in the series when he was trying to dethrone Ameri as the student council president. He craves attention and praise, so his innate ability makes a lot of sense. With his bloodline ability, Charisma, Ronove naturally makes his peers give him their undivided attention and adoration.
Ronove absolutely loves being the center of attention. Ronove may be obnoxious sometimes, but his over-the-top flashy antics hide a lot of suffering. On top of that, his musical numbers are always some of the series' catchiest.
4 Opera's Dry Sense Of Humor Sets Them Apart From The Rest
Opera is Sullivan's bodyguard. They have a complicated history with the otherwise stone-faced Kalego, who seems wildly intimidated by them for some reason. Opera is generally polite and down-to-earth, but their dry sense of humor stands out in a series driven by over-the-top running gags.
Opera often makes witty comments about current situations and always pokes fun at others with a deadpan expression. Unlike other characters with a similar comedic flavor, Opera doesn't take themselves too seriously and even helps drag others out of their comfort zones.
3 Balam Always Looks Out For Iruma
Balam earned himself quite a reputation during his time at Bablys. Students fear him because of his offputting appearance and bizarre teaching methods. However, Balam is a gentle soul who wouldn't hurt a fly. He loves every living thing and would hate to hurt somebody.
Unlike other demons, Balam is interested in the human world and wants to learn everything he can about it. After meeting Iruma, Balam immediately took him under his wing. He's very overprotective of Iruma and never wants to see him get hurt, always ensuring that nobody else finds out that he's human. Balam is also close friends with Kalego since his ability ensures that no student can cheat on their tests.
2 Ameri Is A Passionate Student Council President Who Loves Shojo Manga
Known for her unwavering confidence and dedicated work ethic, Ameri tends to intimidate other students. She never shows vulnerability to anyone besides Iruma because she wants to be perceived as a figure of strength for the school. She's a charismatic student council president who handles her job with the utmost professionalism.
However, Ameri has a soft side that only Iruma sees. Despite being unable to read human language, she enjoys looking at shojo manga. Even before understanding what the words meant, the images made her heart skip a beat. After having Iruma read them to her, she became even more obsessed.
1 Iruma Always Stands Out, Even If He Doesn't Mean To
After getting shipped off to the netherworld, Iruma was warned that he should never reveal that he's human. If he does, then his peers might make a meal out of him. Unfortunately for Iruma, he constantly stands out. His peers all admire him, and he constantly garners attention in the most bizarre ways, from cross-dressing as an idol to suddenly going through an "evil cycle."
Iruma's "evil cycle," in reality, was brought on by Alikred casting a spell on him in his sleep. He told Iruma to "become a bad boy." However, Iruma's so-called "dark side" is actually just a more confident version of himself. "Dark" Iruma isn't afraid to tell others "no," honestly ask for what he wants, and bargain to get his way.
