"MAD Magazine" is set to get weird in April. Legendary musical parody artist "Weird Al" Yankovic -- whose "Mandatory Fun" just won the Grammy for Best Comedy Album -- will guest edit "MAD Magazine" #533, as disclosed Thursday on the long-running publication's blog.

"It was my childhood dream to one day be a contributor to 'MAD Magazine,'" Yankovic said in the announcement. "This is an excellent example of why children are never allowed to make important decisions."

It certainly feels like a natural fit -- Yankovic has been poking fun at pop culture in his music since the 1970s, something "MAD" has been doing in its pages since 1952. According to the announcement, Yankovic's contributions will include "writing an introduction to the issue, contributing (along with some of his celebrity friends) to the Fund"AL"ini Pages, and picking his favorite 'MAD' article for the Vault section," along with answering the "Letters and Tomatoes" column.

This is the second Yankovic/DC Comics collaboration announced thus far this year; he'll also voice The Dollmaker in upcoming animated feature "Batman vs. Robin." "MAD" #533 is scheduled for release on April 21.
