Beginning now through Sunday, every day will see me feature a brand-new Cool Comic Book Moment. For this week only, I'll be specifically featuring cool moments that happened in the last couple of years (basically since I last did the Year of Cool Comic Moments). Here is an archive of all the past cool comic moments that I've featured so far.

Today we take a look at a great moment from Matt Fraction, David Aja and Matt Hollingsworth's Hawkeye #3...

The issue is told out of chronological order, but if you were to get to the beginning of the timeline of the issue, it begins with Clint "Hawkeye" Barton trying to organize his trick arrows along with Kate "Hawkeye" Bishop. Kate doesn't seem to give his trick arrows the respect Clint feels that they deserve...

Clint goes off to find some tape to label each of the arrows but he gets sidetracked and instead ends up being chased by a bunch of bad guys (the events that lead to him being chased are quite interesting in and of themselves, and they include a smiling Hawkeye head being used to cover up Clint's exposed junk) with Kate driving and Clint shooting unlabeled trick arrows at the bad guys...

"Acid arrow,Kate -- dammit -- acid arrow" "I don't know what that means!!" might practically be the moment itself!

Okay, so after some more trick arrows, Clint ends up in a bad situation...

And then the moment...

Awesome.

The art was excellent, Fraction set up his punchline wonderfully. What a great issue (and there's so much cool stuff that's not even shown here).
