9 Hensuki: Are You Willing to Fall in Love with a Pervert, as Long as She’s a Cutie?

Recently airing in the summer 2019 season, Hensuki is a comedy ecchi-harem series. The anime follows Keiki Kiryuu, a high school boy who receives a pair of panties in his locker. Referring to the sender as his Cinderella, Keiki investigates a series of girls from his school. However, each girl is a pervert with a specific fetish.

Hensuki is like We Never Learn in the sense that each character has their own specific trope about them. The episode formats are also similar, with both Keiki and Nariyuki usually spending an episode with a specific girl. Hensuki is 12 episodes and aired for one season.

6 Shuffle!

Shuffle! is a magic-harem anime that aired during the summer 2005 season. The anime is set in a time with Gods and Demons living in the Human World. Rin Tsuchimi attends Verbena Academy as a high school student.

Rin and his childhood friend Kaede live a normal life until the King of Gods and King of Demons become Rin’s neighbors. Shuffle! and We Never Learn have very different plots, but both series have characters that reflect common tropes seen in anime. Both series also have a male lead whose normal life is disrupted. Shuffle! is 24 episodes and aired for one season.

5 The Fruit of Grisaia

For fans of We Never Learn that want a psychological twist in their school-harem anime, The Fruit of Grisaia offers such. The psychological-harem anime takes place at Mihama Academy. Yuuji Kazam attends the small school as it only consists of him and five other girls. Becoming friends with each one of them, he realizes the school isn’t what it seems.

Yuuji must save the five girls from themselves all the while saving himself. Released during the fall 2014 season, The Fruit of Grisaia shares school life-harem similarities with We Never Learn but provides a whole different angle from the genre that fans might enjoy. The anime aired for multiple seasons and even produced a movie.

4 Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend

Released during the winter 2015 season, Saekano is a harem-romance anime. The anime follows Tomoya Aki, who attempts to make his own game. He teams up with childhood friend Eriri Spencer Sawamura as an illustrator and professional author Utaha Kasumigaoka as the writer.

The game is based on Megumi Katou, Tomoya’s classmate who poses as the main character. In We Never Learn, the female characters in the series are working towards a goal. The same is in Saekano. While it is Tomoya’s game, each character feels the need to make it their best work. Saekano aired for two seasons.

3 Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai

Don’t let the title mislead you in this anime. Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai isn’t your normal school rom-com anime. Airing during the fall 2018 season, the anime follows Sakuta Azusagawa. An epidemic known as Puberty Syndrome has broken out in his town.

Unsure of what is causing the epidemic, Sakuta works with different girls at his school in arc format to solve whatever antics Puberty Syndrome has caused. Both Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai and We Never Learn has male leads who work with different female characters to help solve their problems. The anime aired for 13 episodes and aired for one season, although a movie was also released in 2019.

2 Nisekoi

Released during the winter 2014 season, Nisekoi is a school-harem series. The anime follows Raku Ichijou, a first-year student at Bonyari High School. Raku’s family is part of the Yakuza, making Raku next in line, but he wants nothing to do with them.

At school, he tries to stay as uninvolved as possible but gets into antics with the other girls at school. Nisekoi has a different plot than We Never Learn but follows the same format. Two girls are introduced at the start of the series and the harem grows as the episodes continue. Nisekoi has comedic elements much like We Never Learn. The anime aired for two seasons, culminating with a total of 32 episodes.

1 The Quintessential Quintuplets

Rounding out the list is The Quintessential Quintuplets, a school-harem series. Released during the winter 2019 season, the anime follows Fuutarou Uesugi, a high school student. Fuutarou is presented with the opportunity to erase his debt by tutoring a rich family’s daughter, Itsuki Nakano.

Itsuki happens to be a quintuplet and Fuutarou is coerced into tutoring the other four sisters as well. The Quintessential Quintuplets shares the most similarities with We Never Learn on this list. Both series have a male lead that must tutor female students. The series is a harem and follows the daily lives of the characters at school. The Quintessential Quintuplets is 12 episodes and has a second season coming in January 2020.
