The countdown is on to an official announcement of a new Batman video game from WB Games.
The WB Games Montréal Twitter account released a cryptic six-second teaser, featuring images and symbols inside a circle that constantly change, along with a caption that reads, "Capture the Knight / Cape sur la nuit."
This comes on the heels of a video released over the weekend celebrating Batman Day, which included subtly-placed, quickly-flashing images at the beginning and near the end of the clip. Those flashing images appear to be the same ones found in today's teaser.

WB Games Montréal has been rumored to be working on a new Batman game for years. One of the images has a striking similarity to the symbol for the Court of Owls, which was previously teased as the aforementioned game's thematic inspiration, especially after a WB Montreal Associate Producer tweeted a t-shirt of a similar logo.
The Court of Owls is a coalition of the oldest families in Gotham that have shaped the city in their image for years. Utterly ruthless, the Court employs a group of killer assassins known as Talons, who will remove anyone that gets in their way. The comic series story arc by Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo was well-received by critics and fans alike, and is considered one of the best modern Batman stories.
Based in Montréal, Quebec, WB Games Montréal was responsible for Batman: Arkham Origins, the third installment of the Batman: Arkham video game series. Fans have been clamoring for a new game in the series ever since Batman: Arkham Knight released in 2015, and if this teaser is any indication, they may get their wish soon enough.
