Fused characters first starting gaining prominence in Dragon Ball's storyline during the Buu Saga. Fan were amazed that two existing characters could combine to give birth to a completely new warrior by either putting on a pair of magic earrings or performing the complex and slightly comical Fusion Dance. While many fans debate as to which fusion in the franchise is strongest, Kefla, the Potara fusion of the series' first two female Super Saiyans Kale and Caulifla, is often thought to fit the bill.

While there's no denying Kefla's strength as a warrior, she may not be the strongest fusion fans have seen, given a few other fused characters that possess unique traits and techniques that would give them an advantage over her if they ever met in battle.

10 Kefla: She Posed A Threat To God-Level Opponents Without Using God Ki Herself

Kefla Dragon Ball Super

When Kefla fought Goku both in his Super Saiyan God and Super Saiyan Blue forms, it was easy to see that he was outmatched. Despite having access to god ki, he still couldn't keep up with her.

Even god-tier warriors like Jiren, Toppo, and Vegeta took notice of her power, not to mention Whis even described her power as "terrifying."

9 Stronger Alternative: Kamioren

A main antagonist in Super Dragon Ball Heroes, Kamioren is the fusion of Neo Machine Mutants Tuffle, Kamin and Oren. After merging with the Universe Seed, Kamioren became one of the most fearsome fusions ever seen in the franchise; it took the likes of Ultra Instinct Goku, with help from Future Trunks, Vegeta, Android 17, and Piccolo to take them down.

Given that Goku didn't even need to tap into all of Ultra Instinct's potential in order to defeat Kefla, it would be reasonable to say that at their full power, Kamioren could probably wipe the floor with her.

8 Kefla: Her Unfused Counterparts Evolved At An Unprecedented Level

A fused character combines the best traits of their individual counterparts, always outshining both halves of their being. Though Caulifla and Kale may not be the two strongest Saiyans out there, they're definitely two of the fastest-evolving, both mastering Super Saiyan 2 on the same day they learned about the existence of the legendary state. Given how fast these two Saiyans can evolve, it's reasonable to assume that Kefla can do the same, especially since this has been seen before with Goten and Trunks.

The two evolved much faster than their fathers, mastering Super Saiyan at such a young age, so it only made sense that Gotenks was able to figure out how to turn into a Super Saiyan 3 in a fraction of the time it took Goku. With a few more months of the right training, Kefla may even possess a Super Saiyan God Blue form of her own, and given how strong she was as a regular Super Saiyan 2, she'd probably be leagues above any other character if this were to happen.

7 Stronger Alternative: Fused Zamasu

Fused Zamasu in Dragon Ball Super

Even if Kefla were able to vaporize Fused Zamasu, the anime showed fans that he'd essentially come back as an untouchable force encompassing the entire universe. Despite lacking a body, destroying Kefla would be child's play.

While he won't be able to match her in raw power, his unconventional moves would definitely make him a worthy opponent for someone like Kefla, who seems to favor a more direct, often reckless approach.

6 Kefla: She Was Able To Force Goku To Use Ultra Instinct

Ultra Instinct Goku spars with Kefla in Tournament of Power in Dragon Ball Super

There have only been a handful of characters who have pushed Goku so far that he was left with no other option but Ultra Instinct: Cumber, Kamioren, and most notably, Jiren. But of course, Kefla achieves a special mention for not only being the second character to force Goku into this powerful state, but nearly defeating him in it as well.

Of course, this was due to the fact that even Goku didn't understand the full extent of his newfound powers, but from what fans have seen, it takes an enormous amount of pressure to push Goku into this state in the first place. There aren't many fusions to do so, let alone remain a significant threat to him even after he accessed these divine powers. This puts Kefla in a league above many other fused characters.

5 Stronger Alternative: Aniraza

Aniraza, Dragon Ball Super

Aniraza marked a Dragon Ball fusion first, being the combination of four of Universe 3's warriors. He possessed incredible power, nearly overwhelming two Super Saiyan Blues, Ultimate Gohan, Golden Frieza, and Android 17. These five warriors alone are some of the strongest unfused characters in the series, and Aniraza managed to push them all back at the same time.

While Kefla is strong, it's unlikely that she'd be able to go up against all of these fighters simultaneously. If not for Android 17's barrier, which allowed him to fly right through Aniraza's attack, Goku and the others would've been defeated in an astounding upset.

4 Kefla: Her Attacks Impact A Wide Range

Caulifla and Kale aren't exactly two of the most careful fighters in the series. When Kale lost control of her power, anyone, whether they were friend or foe, was just as likely to be taken down. And when Caulifla first transformed into a Super Saiyan, she blew Cabba away with an attack that she'd been aiming at the sky.

During her final moments of the Tournament of Power, Kefla powered up to her max, generating fierce rays of energy that sliced through the arena and forced other warriors who weren't even a part of the fight to retreat. Her wide-sweeping attacks would definitely allow her to defeat many foes at once and prevent them from getting the jump on her from any angle.

3 Stronger Alternative: Vegito

Super Saiyan Blue Vegito attacking

Being a Potara fusion himself, Vegito benefits from the same power boost that Kefla does, and given that he can utilize Super Saiyan Blue, he's automatically in a league above Kefla.

Kefla's power grows as she fights, so it's likely that she'd be able to defeat Vegito if he allowed their fight to be drawn out, but since he's now aware of the short time limit of his Potara fusion if he were to use Super Saiyan Blue right from the jump, he'd most likely dispose of Kefla before she even knew what hit her.

2 Kefla: Her Energy Was Near-Limitless Despite Her Counterparts Being Bested By Goku Earlier

Anime Kefla Prepares Her Omega Blaster

After Kale and Caulifla fused into Kefla, Goku mentioned that the two seemed to have no limit to their power, and even Whis was frightened by it.

This says a lot about how strong she would be at her full potential, given that just before Kefla was born, Caulifla was barely able to stand.

1 Stronger Alternative: Gogeta

While Kefla is definitely one of the strongest fusions in Dragon Ball, it would be hard to argue that Gogeta isn't leagues above her. In Dragon Ball Super: Broly, he proved to be so powerful that he could shatter dimensions while fighting and after turning into a Super Saiyan Blue, he made Broly look like a weakling. In Super Dragon Ball Heroes, Gogeta further demonstrated his strength after defeating Hearts, who even remarked that he had enough power to defeat Zeno.

Likewise, Hit and Jiren wondered why Gogeta wasn't relied upon during the Tournament of Power, given the fact that he overwhelmed Ultimate Godslayer Hearts during the first few minutes of their battle, something neither fighter was able to do on their own. Kefla, on the other hand, wasn't even present during this battle, showing that she has some divine training to undergo before she can even hope to beat Gogeta.
