Fingerprints are a surefire identification method and while some of Batman's foes wouldn't be able to get that kind of information, there are definitely those who could. By wearing gloves, Batman prevents that and makes it that much harder to figure out who he is.

There have been times when he's been taken down, whether it be by one tough opponent or a whole group of them. At times like this, his foes are often tempted to take a look under the cowl. That's a mistake.

Batman has a taser system that stop anyone from pulling his mask off. This is a pretty ingenious little fix to the problem. As good as he knows he is, he understands that some fights might be too much for him and he prepared a way to deal with his foes' curiosity.

Tasers run out of charge eventually or can be disabled and if he isn't up and around by then, there's a good chance that his foes are going to get his cowl off. While it's not foolproof because someone can just take this mask off, it gives him more time to wake up or figure a way out of the situation he's in. It's a little thing but every little bit helps.

He's quick-witted, skilled, and, most importantly, smart. He's experienced all kinds of situations and knows his way out of nearly all of them. He's always been able to stay one step ahead of the vast majority of people who have tried to deduce his identity.
