Avatar: The Way of Water is giving us a better look at Jake Sully and Neytiri’s growing Pandoran family.

Disney unveiled a selection of posters spotlighting the movie's cast, both human and Na'vi. While fans of the franchise will undoubtedly recognize Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) and Neytiri (Zoe Saldana), the couple's family is also featured. Beyond the core protagonists, members of the new ocean-based Metkayina Clan also earned their own character posters.

While Jake and Neytiri's entire family isn't included in the character posters, they've managed to successfully raise five children. They include the eldest son, Neteyam (Jamie Flatters), second-born son Lo’ak (Britain Dalton) and teenage daughter Tuktirey (Trinity Bliss). The couple also has two non-biological children, namely their adopted human son Spider (Jack Champion) and eldest teenage daughter Kiri (Sigourney Weaver).

Avatar: The Way of Water has plenty of expectations to live up to. Nearly 13 years after the release of Avatar, the franchise's first film, the sci-fi epic remains the highest-growing movie in history. Pulling in $2.922 billion worldwide, the sequel will need to score similar numbers to even break even. Director James Cameron has noted that in order for the sequel to simply break even, it will need to become one of the top five most successful films of all time. The filmmaker has yet to officially put a number on The Way of Water's budget but it's estimated to have cost approximately $250 million.

Avatar: The Way of Water sports a runtime worthy of its gigantic budget. The movie will reportedly run for more than three whole hours, a length Cameron insists is essential to tell the whole story. "We didn’t spend as much time on relationship and emotion in the first film as we do in the second film, and it’s a longer film, because there’s more characters to service. There’s more story to service," the filmmaker explained.

Whether that story will persist beyond The Way of Water remains to be seen. Cameron has previously indicated that the future of the franchise hinges on the success of the sequel. "If we make some money with two and three, it's all mapped out," Cameron said. "Scripts are already written, everything's designed. So just add water."

Avatar: The Way of Water is slated for release on Dec. 16.
