Originally published in 1972, Watership Down was written by Richard Adams and proved to be an immediate success. The story follows a group of rabbits as they escape their doomed home and set out on a dangerous journey to find a new one. Led by a young rabbit named Hazel and his seer brother Fiver, the group is forced to contend with the elements, humanity and even other groups of rabbits if they want to survive. The book has been adapted twice previously, as an animated film in 1978 and as a television series in 1999.

The newest adaption will be a miniseries, co-produced between BBC and Netflix. The miniseries has recruited an incredibly stacked cast, including James McAvoy, Nicholas Hoult, Jogn Boyega, Ben Kingsley, Daniel Kaluuya, Gemma Arterton, Anne-Marie Duff, Olivia Colman, Peter Capaldi, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Tom Wilkinson, Taron Egerton, Rosie Day, Rosamund Pike, Gemma Chen and Miles Jupp.
