Viewership for the second episode of HBO's Watchmen remained steady, but did experience a slight decrease from the series premiere earlier this month.

The second episode of the dystopian superhero series drew 1.3 million viewers across both broadcast television and HBO's digital platforms on Sunday night. This is a 13% decrease from the series premiere's viewership within the same window. However, the series' live broadcast through HBO only decreased from approximately 800,000 to 765,000, despite airing against Game 5 of the World Series between the Washington Nationals and Houston Astros.

Watchmen debuted on Sunday, Oct. 20 to 1.5 million viewers, the largest series premiere for the premium cable network since 2016's Westworld. Since its initial airing, the premiere episode has reportedly garnered 5 million total viewers across repeat broadcasts and through HBO's streaming platforms.

Taking place decades after the events of the landmark comic book series by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons, Watchmen follows law enforcement officers as they begin wearing masks following targeted attacks by an extremist group inspired by the superhero Rorschach. As tension and abuses of power run high, a new generation of superheroes arrive.
