SPOILER WARNING: The following contains massive spoilers for the season finale of Watchmen, "See How They Fly."

After nine episodes, HBO's popular television series Watchmen reached its conclusion. Even before the start of the season, creator and writer Damon Lindelof warned fans that these nine episodes were a complete story.

Now, following the series' surprise ending, fans were left wondering if there will be a second season -- and if we will find out what happens to Angela when she attempts to walk on water. But once again, Lindelof reaffirmed that he has no immediate plans for Season 2.

"Oh, wow, just dive right in, shall we?" Lindelof told Deadline when asked if there would be a second season. "I don’t know. That’s the answer. All I can say is I’ve consistently believed and still believe that these nine episodes are a complete story with a beginning, middle and end."

"I have to acknowledge that not everyone’s going to see it that way, and I definitely don’t dispute any opinion that’s sort of like there should be more," he continued. "I just don’t feel compelled to continue the story without a reason to do so. That reason should be a creative reason, idea-driven, and I don’t have any ideas for subsequent seasons of Watchmen currently."
