Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who played Eddie Blake/The Comedian, in Zack Snyder's 2009 adaptation of Watchmen released a photo of himself wearing the character's mask while joking about a potential comeback.Posting on Twitter, Morgan wrote, "Gus found the comedian mask. Still fits like a glove. And looks extra extra with my badass bifocals. Here’s to a masked comeback in 2020." Morgan currently stars on The Walking Dead as Negan, and as The Comedian dies at the start of Watchmen, there's no indication the actor would actually be able to reprise the role anytime soon.

Written by Alan Moore and illustrated by Dave Gibbons, Watchmen ran for 12 issues between 1986 and 1987. The book is considered among the best works in all of comics, and has been adapted into various different media, including a recent TV show on HBO. Snyder's adaptation of the comic earned $185 million worldwide against a budget of $130 million.
