According to the Hollywood Reporter, screenwriter Alex Tse is writing the script for the Zach Snyder-helmed adaptation.
The Hollywood Reporter also notes that Tony Stark's cinematic debut has laid its claim to May 2nd, 2008 as a release date. Marvel currently has two separate writing teams -- Matt Hollaway and Art Markum ("Convoy"), and Mark Fergus and Hawk Otsby ("First Snow") -- working on drafts.
DC: NEW FRONTIER
There's an interesting rumor over at Ain't It Cool News claiming that Stan Berkowitz and Bruce Timm are working on an Direct to video asaptation of Darwyn Cooke's super-hero epic.
Can't wait to see the teaser trailer? Well, Ain't It Cool News has a shot by shot description of what you'll allegedly see. Sooner or later. Meanwhile, Superhero Hype has a new set report (as always, with photos) from the New York filming schedule.
Right here at CBR, we have an in-depth analysis and review of the film that's chock full of surprises (why would Jon Peters want a giant spider? Some beef with Peter Parker? Tobey Maguire stole his woman and broke his collarbone?).
THAT'S A WRAP
Here's where you get in on the action. Did you see a link we didn't catch? Have you snuck into a closed movie set, and have inside data? Maybe your cousin is dating somebody who knows something, and they had to tell you? Whatever it is, we wanna know it all -- fire off an email and let us know whether you want your name used or your contributions to geekdom to go down anonymously. Broadcasting live from Los Angeles, this is novelist/karaoke host/all-around lunatic Hannibal Tabu saying thanks for your time and indulgence, and [tagline sent back to development hell until something hipper can be dreamed up].
