A recently released HBO sizzle reel reveals a new glimpse at the network's upcoming Watchmen series. The video teases a number of returning and upcoming shows, including a sneak peek at Watchmen at the very end.
The clip reveals the first full look at Don Johnson as Chief Judd, a cowboy-hat-wearing police officer. The clip shows him walking through a long hall in what looks to be either a hospital or a prison. Officers are lined up against the wall, all of them wearing yellow masks as shown in a previously released teaser image.
Next, Jeremy Iron's Ozimandias appears on screen in front of a piece of graffiti. "It's only just begun," he says. Then, the footage shifts over to someone wearing the Rorschach mask, who advances threateningly towards the camera.
Developed by Damon Lindelof, HBO's adaptation of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbon's Watchmen stars Jeremy Irons, Regina King, Don Johnson, Tim Blake Nelson, Louis Gossett Jr., Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Tom Mison, James Wolk, Adelaide Clemens, Andrew Howard, Frances Fisher, Jacob Ming-Trent, Sara Vickers, Dylan Schombing, Lily Rose Smith and Adelynn Spoon. The series is expected to premiere later this year on HBO.
