HBO's Watchmen was both a success among fans and critics, and it's hard to imagine not getting more of the show that we all loved. But showrunner Damion Lindelof has not confirmed he will return for another season, though he hasn't ruled it out.

HBO programming chief Casey Bloys spoke about the possibility of a Season 2. He mentioned that it's really up to Lindelof and whether or not he has any new ideas for another installment of the popular series.“It’s really up to him; what he wants to do,” Bloys said in a conversation at the Television Critics Association press tour (as reported by The Wrap). “I am most interested in Damon and where he wants to put his time. So if he says he’s got an idea, that’s great. If he doesn’t want to do it, I want to do whatever he wants to do.”

Season 2 left off on a bit of a cliffhanger. In the last moments of the finale, Angela consumes an egg she believes has Dr. Manhattan's powers and then heads to the swimming pool to test if she has them now. The screen fades to black just as her foot hovers over her swimming pool, and that's all for the season. It wasn't necessarily the closure fans hoped for in the season finale, so a Season 2 would be a nice way to address all the unanswered questions. The real question now is whether or not showrunner Damon Lindelof agrees.

Developed by Damon Lindelof, HBO's Watchmen stars Jeremy Irons, Regina King, Don Johnson, Tim Blake Nelson, Jean Smart, Louis Gossett Jr., Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Tom Mison, James Wolk, Adelaide Clemens, Andrew Howard, Frances Fisher, Jacob Ming-Trent, Sara Vickers, Dylan Schombing, Lily Rose Smith and Adelynn Spoon.
