Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is no stranger to people online trying to rein her in and she has become a deft handler of her critics on Twitter and on Friday, she quoted Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons' Watchmen to fight back against her latest round of criticism.Early Friday morning, an article on Politico suggested that the House Democratic Caucus was "exasperated" with Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the newest representative from New York's 14th District. This led to a response on Twitter from Latino Victory Fund President Cristobal J. Alex where he noted, "Let me try and save folks some time here. You cannot rein in Latinas. They rein you in. #YearOfTheLatina #FutureIsLatina"RELATED:HBO's Watchmen Debuts First Look At Rorschach & OzymandiasCongresswoman Ocasio-Cortez retweeted Alex's comment and added "To quote Alan Moore: “None of you understand. I'm not locked up in here with YOU. You're locked up in here with ME.”

This, of course, is a quote from Watchmen #6, by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons, where Rorschach has been put into prison with a number of criminals that he put behind bars in his vigilante days. He scars a would-be attacker with a face full of deep fried vengeance and a warning that he is not locked up with them, they're locked up with him.
