Fox has premiered the first trailer for Gone Girl, David Fincher's adaptation of the bestselling novel by Gillian Flynn.

The mystery-thriller centers on the disappearance of Amy Dunne (Rosamund Pike), and the slowly deepening suspicion that her seemingly loving husband Nick (Ben Affleck) may have killed her.

Opening Oct. 3, Gone Girl also stars Neil Patrick Harris, Missi Pyle, Tyler Perry, Kim Dickens, Patrick Fugit, Sela Ward, Scoot McNairy and Lee Norris.
