I already posted the preview clip of this week's episode of Supernatural, but I can't pass up this new video, courtesy of TV Squad, of the opening credits created just for “Clap Your Hands If You Believe.”
As regular viewers know, Supernatural doesn't typically have a full-fledged title sequence -- it's just a flash of the logo with special effects. But for this episode, which starts off with the Winchester brothers investigating reports of UFO abductions, the show pays tribute to another, earlier cult-TV series ... The X-Files.
But even better, "Clap Your Hands If You Believe" -- it involves fairies, if you didn't already realize -- is written by executive producer Ben Edlund, who's written some of Supernatural's more humorous and offbeat episodes, including "Hollywood Babylon," "Bad Day at Black Rock" and "Monster Movie."
Supernatural airs Friday at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
While Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) are investigating a UFO sighting, Dean is abducted from a crop circle. However, when he awakens, he discovers he isn’t dealing with aliens, but fairies!
Unfortunately, only Dean can see the fairy that keeps attacking him which makes tracing and stopping them difficult. The brothers become even more perplexed when Sam’s investigation leads them to a world full of elves, gnomes and a leprechaun.
