Watch the Stylishly Offbeat Teaser For Hip-Hop Comedy 'Dope'

"Dope" gives the 1990s a full-on embrace in this teaser trailer for the coming-of-age comedy from writer/director Rick Famuyiwa.

Although you can't really tell from the teaser, which is all about the flash, the Sundance Film Festival hit centers on Malcom (Shameik Moore), a geeky high school student with a love for '90s hip-hop who's trying to navigate life in Inglewood while juggling college applications and the SAT. When a drug dealer takes a liking to him and invites him to his birthday party, Malcom and his crew of like-minded outcasts are swept up in a night of adventure and discovery.

Produced by Forest Whitaker, "Dope" also stars Tony Revolori, Kiersey Clemons, Kimberly Elise, A$AP Rocky, Blake Anderson, Keith Stanfield, Chanel Iman, Quincy Brown and Zoë Kravitz. It opens June 19 from Open Road Films.
