WATCH: 'Star Wars' and 'Star Trek' collide in action-packed supercut trailer

Some battles have divided us as a nation for generations: Coke versus Pepsi, Democrats versus Republicans, Star Wars versus Star Trek. Luckily, you can have it all in these troubled times -- at least when it comes to the latter fight. Our sister site Screen Rant has posted the newest entry in their Epic Battles video series, which finds the crews of the Death Star and U.S.S. Enterprise colliding in a crazy fun fan video.

In this revamped merging of the two franchises, we see the Imperial forces destroying the planet Vulcan, as well as taking out Captain James T. Kirk's father, thus igniting the fight between the two respective universes. Check out the video below, and try not to break out your childhood action figures afterwards.

Those looking for more can check out "Star Trek: Beyond" in theaters now, as well as "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" when it hits theaters on December 16.
