The worlds of "Rick and Morty" and "The Simpsons" collide Sunday as the alcoholic mad scientist and his grandson drop in -- quite literally -- on 742 Evergreen Terrace for the season finale's couch gag, killing the stars of the Fox series in the process. That kicks off a hilarious two-minute sequence involving cloning, larceny and a poorly timed drop-in by Ned Flanders.

“This couch gag plays like a full-fledged mini-episode,” "The Simpsons" creator Matt Groening said in a statement. “It’s going to be a real treat for fans of 'The Simpsons', fans of 'Rick and Morty,' and fans of animated belching.”

The season finale of "The Simpsons" airs Sunday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Fox. "Rick and Morty" returns for a new season July 26 on Adult Swim.
