Watch 'Ren & Stimpy' Creator John Kricfalusi's 'Simpsons' Halloween Couch Gag

Fox has debuted "Ren & Stimpy" creator John Kricfalusi's couch gag for "The Simpsons: Treehouse of Horror XXVI.”

As you might expect from Kricfalusi, the segment is evocative of the Looney Tunes work of such animation greats as Bob Clampett, Tex Avery and Chuck Jones (the flying witch would seem to be a nod to the latter's Witch Hazel), with touches of classic Disney Halloween shorts (in particular, 1949's "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow"). But of course the imagery and song lyrics are a bit more ... adult.

Note whose grave the monster emerges from to haunt the Simpsons children.

"Treehouse of Horror XXVI” airs Sunday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.
