Two weeks ago, The Watch introduced Captain Sam Vimes and Lady Sybil Ramkin in a pair of CBR-exclusive promos. Last week, CBR shone a spotlight on Constable Carrot and Corporal Angua. Now, BBC America wants you to meet Constable Cheery and Sergeant Detritus.

In two new CBR-exclusive promos for the upcoming series, which takes inspiration from Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels, Cheery and Detritus take center stage. As Cheery embraces her passions, Detritus highlights his expertise in holding up bridges.

The opening of Cheery's promo finds the Watch in a rather unusual predicament. She sits next to Captain Sam Vimes, Carrot and Angua, with each character dressed in their finest punk attire. "Let's strike this," she announces, brandishing a tambourine. "Sometimes the things that people fear the most you are the things that makes you yourself," she adds over a montage that shows her embracing both her dwarf heritage and her passion for science.

Meanwhile, to kick off his promo, Detritus shows off his keen powers of observation by announcing a lifeless body is dead. "I'm made of stone," he explains with a smile. "Good for holding up bridges." From there, he runs afoul of a prisoner and a dog who mistakes him for a fire hydrant.

Ordered to series in October 2018, The Watch is a fantasy police procedural series based off the books in Pratchett's Discworld series. The first of the books following the Ankh-Morpork City Watch was 1989's Guards! Guards!, while the last was 2011's Snuff. The Discworld series ended following Pratchett's death in 2015.
