"X-Men: Apocalypse" will bring a new villain from the X-Men's rogue's gallery to life -- and it's quite possibly the team's most larger-than-life villain. The ancient, godlike Apocalypse -- played by Oscar Isaac -- will menace Professor X's team in Bryan Singer's latest "X-Men" film. A new featurette for the movie focuses solely on En Sabah Nur's origins, powers, and plans for worldwide conquest.

The villain absorbs powers from every mutant he inhabits, Singer explains, meaning that he's "acquired over thousands of years multiple powers." Now he's risen once again, this time in 1983, to find "one giant, corrupt civilization" -- a civilization that needs to be purged of humanity.
