Earlier this week, "Flash" executive producer Andrew Kreisberg elaborated on what's in store for Barry Allen as the speedster's show races into its second season. One new thing? Powers. Yep, Grant Gustin's superhero will acquire a few new Flash tricks -- one of which hasn't been seen by fans before.

"We're going to be seeing him learn a couple of new tricks," Kreisberg told Entertainment Weekly. "One from the comic and one that we actually have come up with, and that we're actually really excited about. The thing about the Flash that's fun is there's always something new to figure out for him to do with his powers, so that it's not just him running in and running around really fast. It's one of the endless gifts of the show."

In the promo for next week's episode, "The Flash of Two Worlds," you can actually see alternate Flash Jay Garrick (Teddy Sears) teaching Barry one of these new powers. We've isolated the moment in GIF form below.

It looks like the Flash is learning how to channel his Speed Force energy into a focused blast. It's likely we'll learn more about this new ability when the "Flash" returns next week. You can check out the moment in context in the promo for "The Flash of Two Worlds."

"The Flash" airs on Tuesdays on the CW.
