With all of the names of young actors rumored to have been considered to fill Andrew Garfield's web-covered tights in the coveted role of Spider-Man, it's perhaps a bit of surprise that "The Walking Dead's" Chandler Riggs hasn't been mentioned. Before now, that is.

REPORT: Spider-Man Casting Narrows To Two With Decision Imminent

Last Thursday, the actor the world knows best as the zombie-shooting Carl took to Twitter to congratulate whomever ends up landing the Sony/Marvel part, while simultaneously taking his own name out of the running, and further fueling speculation that the wall-crawler is set to make his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in next summer's "Captain America: Civil War."

Over the weekend, reports circled stating that Marvel and Sony have narrowed their list of potential Parkers to two actors, Tom Holland and Charlie Rowe, though Matthew Lintz and Charlie Plummer aren't entirely out of the running yet. While Marvel Studios and Spider-Man rights holders Sony continue to debate which young star will embody the new webslinger, production continues on the pseudo-Avengers sequel in Atlanta where Holland is apparently vacationing for the time being.
