There hasn't been a new issue of "Karnak" since October, but more is on the way, Marvel Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonso assures. In the latest edition of CBR's weekly Q&A column AXEL-IN-CHARGE, Alonso shared that the second issue from writer Warren Ellis and artist Gerardo Zaffino should make its current Feb. 3 release date, and provided some insight on the delay.

"There were some unforeseen complications in Gerardo's life," Alonso told CBR. "But we're committed to continuing the book and everyone is working hard to get the next issue out for fans as quickly as possible. Our creators have lives outside of comics, and sometimes those lives have difficulties that can get in the way of writing or drawing. Right now, issue #2 should ship in February and will hopefully come out more regularly beyond that."

The first issue of "Karnak" was released last fall on Oct. 21, as one of the initial series to debut from the All-New, All-Different Marvel launch. Starring the titular martial arts-proficient member of the Inhuman Royal Family, it's the first Marvel series penned by the superstar writer since Ellis' acclaimed run on "Moon Knight" with artists Declan Shalvey and Jordie Bellaire.
