Warner Bros. has snared the film rights to "Five Nights at Freddy's," the popular point-and-click survival horror game created by Scott Cawthon.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Roy Lee of Vertigo Entertainment ("The Ring," "The Grudge") and Seth Grahame-Smith and David Katzenberg of KatzSmith Productions ("It," "Beetlejuice 2") are on board to produce.

Debuting last year, the game is set in the Chuck E. Cheese's-like Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, where the animatronic animal robots come to murderous life at night. The player, as the nighttime security guard, must survive the shift by tracking the movements of the robots on security cameras. No writers are attached yet.
