WarnerMedia is the latest production company to threaten action if Georgia's controversial abortion bill becomes law.

"We will watch the situation closely, and if the new law holds we will reconsider Georgia as the home to any new productions. As is always the case, we will work closely with our production partners and talent to determine how and where to shoot any given project," the company said in a statement.

WarnerMedia's The Conjuring 3 is currently filming in Georgia, along with upcoming HBO programs The Outsider and Lovecraft Country. James Gunn's Suicide Squad sequel, The Suicide Squad, is also set to begin filming in Georgia soon.

NBCUniversal also threatened action if the law passed. “We fully expect that the heartbeat bills and similar laws in various states will face serious legal challenges and will not go into effect while the process proceeds in court. If any of these laws are upheld, it would strongly impact our decision-making on where we produce our content in the future,” the studio said in a statement.

Earlier this week, Disney CEO Bob Iger said that the company may end its film production in Georgia if the state passes the abortion law. Streaming giant Netflix has also stated they will rethink operations in Georgia should the law go into effect.

Several actors and producers have spoken out against the law as well. Jason Bateman, star of the popular Netflix show The Ozarks, has said he won't work in Georgia if the law passes. Jordan Peele and J.J. Abrams, executive producers on the HBO show Lovecraft Country, have promised their episodic fees to ACLU of Georgia and Fair Fight Georgia.

Georgia was one of eight states to pass anti-abortion legislation earlier this year, with the intention of influencing the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn 1973's Roe v. Wade, which established a woman’s right to terminate her pregnancy.
