Included in the trailer are logos for DC Universe, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, TBS, CNN, TNT, New Line Cinema, truTV and Boomerang.
Around the 33 second mark of the trailer, the logo for DC Universe's Doom Patrol flashes on the screen. What Doom Patrol's addition to HBO Max means for the live-action series, and the future of DC Universe, remains to be seen. The DC Universe app includes original live-action series, previously-released TV series and movies, along with a vast catalog of DC comics. Young Justice: Outsiders recently released its midseason premiere of Season 3, and Swamp Thing is currently in its first and only season.
"HBO Max will bring together the diverse riches of WarnerMedia to create programming and user experiences not seen before in a streaming platform," WarnerMedia Entertainment and Direct-To-Consumer Chairman Robert Greenblatt said in a statement. "HBO’s world-class programming leads the way, the quality of which will be the guiding principle for our new array of Max Originals, our exciting acquisitions, and the very best of the Warner Bros. libraries, starting with the phenomenon that is ‘Friends.' Under the leadership of two of the strongest creative visionaries — Casey Bloys (HBO) and Kevin Reilly (original content and acquisitions) — and two of the most experienced digital experts — Tony Goncalves and Andy Forssell — I have no doubt they and their dedicated teams will deliver the world’s best storytelling to audiences of all ages wherever and whenever they want it."
In addition to such staples as Friends and The CW's numerous offerings leaving Netflix in favor of HBO Max, the service has also recruited Greg Berlanti to work on four new movies, as well as Reese Witherspoon's Hello Sunshine media company.
HBO Max is slated to launch in spring 2020.
