War Machine, The Walking Dead, Cowboys & Aliens: Nov 9th Comic Reel

Pajiba posted the following to Twitter the other day: "It may be denied if reported, but don't be surprised if you hear about a War Machine spin-off soon. Pitch is out to writers." Other sites are only picking up on it now, including yours truly, but one wonders if the combined talents of Don Cheadle and the War Machine suit could carry their own film ... and how much of it would have to be "Jim Rhodes Begins."

Release date: TBA

As we reported here at CBR yesterday, the second season is now confirmed. AMC has ordered an additional thirteen episodes. Presumably, this next batch will air next year and, perhaps, we'll get to the prison. I stopped reading the book right their in fear of getting too far ahead. Was that a wise choice or should I just keep reading?

Airs: Sundays

Harrison Ford spoke with Access Hollywood recently to support his new film, "Morning Glory." He also talked a little bit about next summer's blockbuster. "It's a real cowboy movie, looks like a cowboy movie, feels like a classic cowboy movie, and then things happen, and then it goes back to being a cowboy movie with this added element," he says of the film. ">I had thought maybe I'd never get to make another cowboy movie."

Starring Daniel Craig, release date: July 29th, 2011

Comic Book Movie user "Mr DCUniverse" allegedly has a description of the film trailer reportedly attached to prints of "Harry Potter & The Death Hollows Part 1 in 2D." In the interest of preventing spoilers, I won't quote it ... but feel free to click though if you don't mind possibly learning more about the film than you'd like.

Starring Ryan Reynolds, release date: June 17th, 2011

According to Deadline, director Peter Morel has, apparently, walked away from the project, which could land the entire endeavor in the belly of a worm. "The studio will be done with 'Dune' by next spring if it hasn't firmed a production start by then. The rights holders won't grant another option extension," writes Deadline's Mike Fleming. I've always said this is tough material to take on because the source avoids everything a movie studio would want to focus on: action.

Release date: TBA

Yahoo! Movies has one more trailer for the film with plenty of fantasy goodness and what looks like an Aslan/dragon showdown:

Release date: December 10th, 2010

In what will probably be my last "Scott Pilgrim" post, Ed Gross has info on signings in New York tonight and in Los Angeles later in the week. With the home video release of the film, I'm sure it's bound to become a cult classic.

Starring Michael Cera and Mary Elizabeth Winstead, release date: Today!

Executive producers Russell T. Davies and Julie Garnder talked with Collider about the upcoming fourth season of the "Doctor Who" spinoff and its transition to Starz. "In terms of what we can do that's new is that we can tell stuff on an international basis and have great American stories. A lot of it is going to be set in America and it's going to have an examination of America, an ambition that's American and a thrust that goes with this nation that's very exciting and truly contemporary. Let's be honest, certainly in the West, America is the dominant culture. It sends shockwaves across the whole of Europe. It's a really interesting place to take the story, once you see what the story is. We're coming to the story's heartland by bringing it here. Starz offers an enormous stage, and the confidence and freedom to tell the story that we want," says Davies.

Airdate: 2011

Speaking of "Doctor Who," Series Five is now available on home video and MTV News has this little clip about Daleks, both old and new:

Returns: Christmas 2010, Series Five DVD/Blu-Ray available now

It wouldn't be the early part of the week without the CW releasing a preview of Friday's episode of the show. This week's episode, "Abandoned," featuring Teri Hatcher as Lois's mother and the arrival of dear old Granny.

Also, here at CBR, we have a number of clips from the episode, including this one:

Airs: Fridays

Though I may be lured away by "Fable III" from time to time, it seems "Rock Band 3" is proving as active a workout as any Wii branded exercise game ... and I haven't even started working with the drums yet. Of course, since it isn't as active as a good walk, it means a longer time commitment, but time sure does fly by when you're playing Huey Lewis and the News's "The Power of Love." Meanwhile, if any of you in the great, wide Internet discover something awesome, disheartening, or just plain weird, let us know! Take credit, come up with a clever nickname, or go anonymous. The choice is yours. Fresh rumors and movie news every weekday morning. I am Erik Amaya, bracing for the future threat of dropping dough on "Rock Band" DLC.
