WARNING: The following contains spoilers for WandaVision Episode 8, "Previously On," streaming now on Disney+.
The eighth episode of WandaVision ended with a huge fan-favorite moment from the comics as S.W.O.R.D. unveiled its new weapon; a ghostly white Vision, reconstructed using remnants of Wanda's hex powers, stolen thanks to the spy drone that passed through the magical barrier of Westview.
The White Vision comes from the West Coast Avengers comics, where the U.S. government broke down and erased Vision. When the Avengers reassembled him, they didn't have the brainwaves available to give him emotions and empathy. This version also might play out like the Anti-Vision from another Earth that switched bodies with the White Vision to infiltrate the Avengers, so WandaVision might show a Vision vs. Vision fight in the final episode. However, some clues indicate that something else is afoot here, and this new White Vision might not even be Vision at all — it could be Ultron himself.
The colors of each robot's "soul" have always been different from one another. Vision is yellowish-orange, thanks to the Mind Stone that gave him life. The White Vision that S.W.O.R.D. Director Tyler Hayward put together has a blueish hue that made this Vision ghostly white, meaning this might be more than just a loving homage to the classic West Coast Avengers version of the synthezoid. This could all go back to Avengers: Age of Ultron and the battle between J.A.R.V.I.S. and Ultron.
Before Vision was a synthezoid who worked with the Avengers, he was the A.I. that Tony Stark used to get everything done, acting basically as Stark's computer assistant. In Age of Ultron, the titular villain came online for the first time. When J.A.R.V.I.S. greeted him, Ultron attacked and the two had a massive cyber fight. This fight was shown through the inside of the computer network, with J.A.R.V.I.S. represented by yellowish-orange colors and Ultron represented by blueish-white colors. The fight then moved outside the computer system, with the Ultron attacking and eventually taking over, destroying J.A.R.V.I.S. and becoming sentient.
Being that the colors of Ultron and Vision are already established, WandaVision might have already tipped its hat at what fans can expect in the season finale of the Disney+ series. Because S.W.O.R.D.'s Vision matches the robotic villain's colors, he may well end up being Ultron.
Being that James Spader is set to be in the show, it seems all the more likely that Ultron will show up. With the colors lining up right on WandaVision, it would be no surprise to see the the two Stark-created beings pit against each other in the ultimate rematch of the MCU's most powerful robots.
