The Marvel Cinematic Universe is soon going to have its first sitcom with the upcoming WandaVision, which will see Vision and Scarlet Witch, the titular Wanda Maximoff, living happily in marital bliss in what appears to be something straight out of the 1950s. However, while the premise already brings to mind various questions, there is one that has especially confused fans: isn't Vision dead?

Writer Jac Schaeffer addressed this with IGN, warning that there might not be a clear answer at first while also noting that that should be part of the fun. "That's so much of the game, really, is how do you handle these big mysteries," he explained. "How do you spin things out over a whole series? We have these big meaty questions that we get to spend more than two and a half hours exploring, so that's been the work, is making it exciting and intriguing and head-turning at every moment."

Even Paul Bettany, who plays Vision, admitted the direction the show will take is surprising. "It's super avant-garde and weird," he said. "I don't think either of us [Paul Bettany and Elizabeth Olsen] could have expected to be going in this -- if we were going to continue in this -- [and for] it to continue in this direction. I'm so excited, the scripts are amazing. It's going to be just great to drill down further into these things."

Elizabeth Olsen also noted that "There are plenty of comic books that support why both of these characters should be in a sitcom."

In addition to Bettany and Olsen reprising their roles, Kat Dennings, Randall Park and Kathryn Hahn are all attached to the upcoming series, with Hahn playing a "nosy neighbor" character, possibly inspired by Mrs. Kravitz from Bewitched.
