WandaVision ended up being the flagship series from the Disney+ side of the MCU and it was a wild and crazy adventure featuring Wanda Maximoff and a reconstruction of her love, Vision. The series provided some much-needed background for Wanda and by the end, she had become the Scarlet Witch.

However, the series also presented a lot of clues that took viewers in all kinds of directions and most of them didn't come to a head in the finale. While Marvel is known for misdirects, the team behind WandaVision pulled out all of the stops causing many fans to become irritated with moments where the other shoe never dropped.

10 Who The Hell is Jimmy Woo's Missing Witness?

Jimmy Woo showing his card in WandaVision

Agent Jimmy Woo's missing witness was the whole reason anyone found out about Westview in the first place. Perhaps the writing team merely used this person as a reason to explain how they found out about the Westview anomaly, but many fans were expecting the missing person to be a big reveal.

Given the unknown nature of what happened to Bill Foster and Ghost after Ant-Man and the Wasp, it's possible to assume that Foster cut a deal with the FBI to keep Eva (Ghost) safe. There is also the unknown and mysterious benefactor for Sonny Birch. Fans are really hoping this comes back into play down the line.

9 Where in God's name is Agent Franklin?

Agent Franklin aka the Bee Keeper from WandaVision

Viewers find out that the man in the beekeeper uniform from early in the series is actually an agent of S.W.O.R.D. turned beekeeper thanks to Wanda's hex rewriting the reality of anything that passes through it. Agent Franklin is shown crossing into the hex before coming out of a manhole cover just down the street from Wanda's house.

Wanda notices the S.W.O.R.D. logo and simply says "No" before the entire scene rewinds. Agent Franklin is never seen again and fans don't know if he went back the way he came or if he's lost in some kind of limbo between the hex and reality. Considering he was one of the other people to actually pass through the barrier, fans have been dying to know where he is.

8 Where Did Director Hayward Come From? (& Where Did He Go?)

Hayward from WandaVision with a jerkish expression

Director Hayward, the new director for S.W.O.R.D., is thrust upon fans once Monica Rambeau makes her way back to S.W.O.R.D.'s earth-based headquarters. Fans get a bad vibe from the new director right from the start and he is revealed to be more of an antagonist by the end.

Viewers are curious about whether or not Hayward was around in the MCU prior to WandaVision, perhaps previously as a S.H.E.I.L.D. agent. While Darcy eludes to Hayward going to prison, he isn't seen again after she crashes into his military vehicle with a funnel truck. The mystery surrounding this character is palpable enough to warrant a return, perhaps in The Marvels or the Dr. Strange sequel.

7 S.W.O.R.D.'s White Vision & Wanda's Mind Stone Vision Construct

Vision holds White Vision in a chokehold

S.W.O.R.D. managed to bring the original Vision back online by somehow connecting him to the drone coursing with hex energy. However, they never address multiple issues. How were they able to put Vision back together? Why did he turn white? What exactly is replacing the Mind Stone in his forehead? Why did they attempt to wipe his memories, but keep his A.I. algorithm and voice? Not a lot of this makes sense when analyzed.

Regarding the Vision that Wanda created, it's explained that he was formed by the part of the Mind Stone that lives within Wanda. Fans accepted this, but it doesn't really provide much explanation. Hopefully, the remaining mysteries of the Mind Stone will be explored in future properties.

6 The Heavy Mephisto Tease with No Reveal (& What's the Deal with Tommy & Billy?)

Billy and Tommy in WandaVision Episode 8

The showrunners may have intentionally misled viewers down the path of Mephisto, though despite the planned misdirect, fans were not happy with no appearance from the devil himself. Mephisto was referenced in almost every episode of WandaVision but in the end, he never arrives. Marvel may be saving Mephisto for a silver-screen debut, but that remains to be seen.

Additionally, Tommy and Billy are revealed to be constructs of Wanda's power, like Vision, but they were never part of the Mind Stone so how can that be? With Mephisto not showing up, fans are still very confused about where Tommy and Billy came from, and where they actually went since their departures were never shown on screen.

5 No Real Explanation on Why the Hex Gave Monica Powers (and Not Anyone Else)

After 3 trips through the hex, Monica Rambeau is imbued with incredible powers that have yet to fully be explored. Her craziest feat is shown when she absorbs the energy from bullets hitting her body and then passes them through her, remaining completed unharmed.

While adding another superhero to the mix is great, fans were completely rushed through Monica's transformation with no real explanation of what happened. Why was she the only one to gain powers? Would everyone get powers after 3 passes or was she just lucky enough to get powers instead of cancer?

4 The Ralph Bohner Boner

Evan Peters in the WandaVision finale

When Evan Peters made his debut as Pietro Maximoff in WandaVision fans went wild. The internet exploded with theories and rumors about how Marvel was going to make Even Peters the MCU Quicksilver and how they were going to bring Fox's X-Men over into the main universe.

However, fans finally found out that Peters was actually portraying a random up-and-coming actor from the small New Jersey town by the name of Ralph Bohner, and his super-speed was somehow derived from Agatha's magic. The reveal infuriated die-hard Marvel fans as it completely undid what the previous episodes had, seemingly, been building toward.

3 What Was Pietro's Experience with the Mind Stone Like?

Wanda's experience with the Mind Stone in WandaVision

Seeing Wanda's magical abilities in her youth as well as her interaction with the Mind Stone during her time with Hydra were huge holes that fans have wanted to see filled since 2015. While the show was supposed to focus on Wanda and Vision, fans were a little surprised that it didn't show how Pietro was affected by the Mind Stone.

Pietro's powers are not magical so it wouldn't make sense for him to be a wizard. If the Mind Stone simply enhanced Wanda's already existing powers, what did it do to Pietro? Were they both mutants, in addition to Wanda being a witch? Did the Mind Stone interact with Pietro's X-Gene to awaken his powers? Fans may have to wait a few years before any significant mutant reveals.

2 Sorcerer Supreme Teased But Not Delivered

Dr. Strange and Wanda back-to-back

Multiple Marvel people have confirmed that Dr. Strange was originally supposed to make an appearance at the end of WandaVision as a sort of mentor to Wanda to help her understand her powers. However, this scene was scrapped due to the current cultural climate as they did not want to "bring in a white man to save the day".

Considering WandaVision directly ties into the events of Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and the Sorcerer Supreme was even mentioned by name within the series, a cameo would have been appropriate. Fans are still unsure of Wanda's role in the coming sequel, and with so many cameos rumored for WandaVision, one actually happening would have been rewarding for MCU fans.

1 Magic's History in the MCU (& Mutants?)

Agatha Harkness Restrains Tommy & Billy in WandaVision

Agatha's history is briefly shown in a flashback when her coven attempts to take her magic away for dealing in forbidden arts. However, the tables quickly turn as Agatha begins to absorb the energy from her coven, killing them all, before going about her business.

Backstory is always appreciated in the MCU, but this flashback only provides minimal information. How long have magical powers been around in the MCU? If witches can be born without realizing it, does that also set the stage for mutants? Was Agatha's mother another scarlet-level witch since she had a colored magical tiara like Wanda's? With Dr. Strange's power being magic-based as well, fans may finally get their answers in March 2022.
