The Disney+ series WandaVision has two of the most powerful Avengers living idealistic lives in a reality dedicated to sitcoms. Wanda Maximoff and Vision have lived through seven decades of sitcoms on the show so far. Certain episodes have been dedicated to certain decades. These episodes acknowledged popular sitcoms of the time, through titles and tropes of those sitcoms.

These sitcoms have matched the feel of the show and perfectly portrayed the relationship of Vision and Wanda in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now it is time to look at what other sitcoms could match-up with other MCU characters.

10 Black Panther in The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air was one of the most popular sitcoms of the '90s, kickstarting the highly successful acting career of Will Smith. Smith plays a fictionalized version of himself, and the iconic theme song sets up the whole premise of the show: Will, a street-smart teenager from West Philadelphia, is sent to live with his upper-class extended family in California.

Living with the Banks family is a complete culture shock for Will. The concept of a cultural shock is at the center of this MCU recast. In Black Panther, T'Challa decides to open Wakanda to the world, as well as visit California. This show could see either T'Challa make his way through a city outside of Wakanda, or have a relative of the king move to Wakanda.

9 Captain America In How I Met Your Mother

How I Met Your Mother is one of the most successful sitcoms of all time. The show has a continuously growing and dedicated fan base, who are still divided by the show's ending. In the year 2030, Ted Mosby tells his kids a quite lengthy and emotional story of how he met their mother through a series of events from his 20s and 30s.

In Endgame, Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes are reunited with an elderly Steve Rogers. Rogers was in charge of traveling in time to return the infinity stones and attempt to restore something resembling a structured timeline in the MCU. Instead of returning to the present, Steve decides to visit and stay with his sweetheart Peggy Carter. The premise of this recast show would be Rogers telling his story of returning the stones and meeting Peggy again, maybe to Barnes and Wilson. Perhaps this could be Rogers's role in The Falcon and Winter Soldier.

8 Iron Man In The Good Place

The Good Place is a quirky award-winning comedy with unpredictable turns throughout. The main premise of the show focuses on Eleanor Shellstrop and her afterlife experience. When Eleanor first arrives at The Good Place she is greeted by Micheal the architect of The Good Place and his assistant Janet.

Janet is the source of all information and knowledge for humans within The Good Place, in a similar way to Jarvis or one of many Tony's AIs. There are a few architects of The Good Place in the show. Tony Stark gave his life to save the MCU. In this pitch of The Good Place, he would become the architect of The Good Place. He has shown in movies like Civil War he has the technology to do this or at least practice the role in VR.

7 Spider-Man in Freaks And Geeks

Freaks and Geeks is a cult classic comedy with a cast and creators that would become star-studded. The show only lasted one season and was one of the first things created by Paul Feig and produced by Judd Apatow, both of whom have been highly successful in comedy entertainment. Stars from the show have appeared in the MCU. Linda Cardellini, the show's lead, appears in the MCU as Hawkeye's wife.

Spider-Man and the show have an interesting connection. Not only does Freaks and Geeks' Martin Starr appear in both Homecoming and Far From Home, but the other shows lead, John Francis Daley, co-wrote those movies, bringing the "Freaks" experience to the school elements of the movies. The MCU's version with Spider-Man and his pals could explore this more— "freak" Peter Parker could even become more literal with the powers getting involved.

6 Hulk in Anger Management

Anger Management was a TV show loosely based on the 2003 Jack Nicholson and Adam Sandler movie of the same name. The show was Charlie Sheen's return to television after his infamous "winning" breakdown caused him to be removed from his sitcom Two and A Half Men, where he was replaced with Ashton Kutcher. In the show, Sheen's character, Charlie, is an anger management therapist with anger issues of his own. He runs a theory group that tests these issues in a variety of ways.

Bruce Banner has established anger issues, which can prove to be chaotic for everyone around him. Watching Banner try to keep it together and not unleash the Hulk on his group is an entertaining concept— although he was not a great therapist for Tony in Iron Man 3.

5 Captain Marvel In Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is a endearing comedy. The Office's Elle Kemper was the ideal casting choice to play Kimmy, an optimistic and upbeat girl who never got the opportunity to grow up— and who experiences bursts of anger. The show starts with Kimmy and other girls being rescued from the bunker of a cult leader. After 15 years in the bunker, Kimmy is keen to restart her life in New York.

This holds similarities to Carol Danvers' origin in her movie, as she is kidnapped by the Kree and returns to Earth after years of her being missing. It would take a super re-enforced bunker to keep Danvers at bay. There are those powerful enough to make such a bunker, Wanda being the prime example. Something like this probably would have happened to Monica Rambeau if she did not escape the Hex.

4 Guardians Of The Galaxy In The Office

Gamora, Star-lord, Rocket, Drax and Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy

The Office was the most-streamed show of 2020. Its popularity cannot be understated— despite the series ending seven years ago, the show is still finding new fans, as well as being revisited by old fans through multiple re-watches. What makes the show is the ensemble cast that comprises the workers at the Dunder Mifflin Paper Company.

For the MCU recast it is vital to pick an equally funny, quirky, and mismatched ensemble. The Guardians of the Galaxy match these criteria. Drax and Dwight share similar qualities, while Star-Lord and Gamora had a will they/won't they dynamic that could attempt to live up to Jim and Pam. Whether they are selling paper in space or in Scranton, the MCU's version of an office-based workplace comedy would provide hilarious moments.

3 Ant-Man/The Wasp in Brooklyn Nine-Nine

The acclaimed Brooklyn Nine-Nine is a charming comedy that is not afraid to explore difficult societal topics, including racism in America— especially in policing. There have been hysterical and heartwarming moments. Jake Peralta is the main character, but the supporting characters of the show are equally as important and hilarious.

With this in mind of the MCU recast, Ant-Man and The Wasp provide the quintessential lead and supporting characters respectively. As for the police setting, the MCU's Brooklyn Nine-Nine stand-in could implement the rising popularity of WandaVision's Agent Jimmy Woo. Scott and Hope could work alongside Woo with the FBI and S.W.O.R.D. solving interdenominational crimes.

2 Thor In Schitt's Creek

Schitt's Creek is one of the most popular sitcoms of recent years. The show is beloved across the world and has been a positive step towards LGBTQ representation in media. The show is about the Rose family who, after losing everything due to bankruptcy, move to Schitt's Creek— a town they already happen to own.

Like the Rose family, Thor at the end of Infinity War had lost everything: His family, friends, and his home of Asgard. The Roses were able to rebuild their lives in this small town, and perhaps Thor could do the same. Maybe Schitt's Creek could be the new Asgard in this version of the show, as it was stated in Thor: Ragnarok that Asgard is no particular physical location but instead more of an idea or concept.

1 Doctor Strange In Scrubs

Scrubs is a hospital-based sitcom recognized for both its hysterical humor and its medical accuracy. It has the iconic bromance between JD and Turk, who are always up to shenanigans and grow as doctors throughout the show. Fake Doctors, Real Friends is a tremendously popular podcast by actors Zach Braff and Donald Faison— who played JD and Turk, respectively— that has brought on a resurgence of the show.

Before damaging his hands in a car crash, Stephen Strange was a renowned surgeon. The MCU's version of Scrubs would see him return to the world of medicine, bringing Wong along with him for JD and Turk vibes. JD is known for his fantasies, and with his powers Strange can make these realities— non-chatty manatee and all.
