WandaVision is just around the corner, and fans will finally get to see Scarlet Witch and Vision back in action, traveling through different eras and living a suburban life. The trailer reveals the pair in various settings strikingly reminiscent of beloved classic sitcoms, with homages to shows like I Love Lucy and Full House.

Let's explore some of the classic sitcoms the WandaVision trailer references.

I Love Lucy

The first and possibly most obvious homage is I Love Lucy. Set in the 1950s, I Love Lucy details Lucy Ricardo's misadventures, which usually end up driving her show-biz husband, Ricky, up the wall. The show is iconic, and WandaVision would be remiss not to reference it. The trailer's black-and-white shots of Wanda in a wedding dress are akin to that of the I Love Lucy episode, "The Marriage License." There's even a scene with the superhero pair sleeping in separate beds — something that Lucy and Ricky did in their show due to the strict '50s television guidelines.

The Brady Bunch

The 1960s - 1970s sitcom, The Brady Bunch, revolves around a blended family with six children and is considered to be one of the last old-style family sitcoms. The trailer references it through bright colored-clothing and a very familiar house feature. Wanda's vibrant top definitely has '70s vibes, and her house's open staircase looks strikingly similar to that of the Brady's. Elizabeth Olsen also confirmed that WandaVision will recreate the iconic Brady Bunch opening credits scene, so there's no doubt the trailer references this show.

Family Ties

Family Ties is a sitcom detailing a couple trying to raise their children in the 1980s. WandaVision's trailer has a scene with an exact replica of the house in Family Ties, including a similar staircase, chairs and windows. Wanda's and Vision's clothing is reminiscent of the classic sitcom's time period.

Sabrina the Teenage Witch

WandaVision surely references Sabrina the Teenage Witch. Beyond the fact that both Wanda and Sabrina are "witches," there's also scenery in the trailer that gives this away. A clip briefly shows Scarlet Witch's classic comic book costume, which is very Halloween-looking and witchy. Additionally, the house's crown molding and wall paneling are similar to that of Sabrina's 1990s home.

Full House

Starring Elizabeth Olsen's own twin sisters, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Full House aired from 1987 - 1995. The beloved sitcom follows Danny Tanner after the death of his wife trying to raise his three daughters with the help of his buddies, Jesse and Joey. The WandaVision trailer homages Full House with scenery reminiscent of the Tanner's '90s home. Marvel's Kevin Feige even stated that his creative team had "pictures of Full House" in the writers room, so there's no doubt the classic is referenced.

Roseanne

In one scene, Wanda is a dead giveaway for Roseanne Connor. Airing from 1988 - 1997, Roseanne details the titular matriarch leading her working-class family. With Wanda's blown-out hair, plaid shirt and suspenders, she resembles the lead. Even the wallpaper behind her reflects that of Roseanne's '90s setting.

Written by Jac Schaeffer and directed by Matt Shakman, WandaVision stars Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, Paul Bettany as Vision, Randall Park as Agent Jimmy Woo, Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau and Kathryn Hahn as Agnes. The series premieres Jan. 15 on Disney+.
