Marvel has released the lyrics and sheet music to the Sokovian lullaby that Wanda sang to her newborn twins in WandaVision's third episode.

In the episode "Now in Color," Wanda gives birth to twins and sings a traditional Sokovian lullaby that led to speculation about the meaning of the tune's lyrics. With so many hidden easter eggs in WandaVision, the lullaby sang in one of the many made-up languages of the Marvel Cinematic Universe had fans wondering if the tune held a clue or hidden message to help unravel the show's mystery. That speculation has now been laid to rest thanks to Marvel.

The lyrics have no meaning beyond a mother singing to her children, revealed showrunner Jac Schaeffer. "It's not about the larger mystery of the show," said Schaeffer. "In my mind, at the time, it was like a sincere version of a TV sitcom theme song, like a real heartfelt one in her native language." Schaeffer wrote the lyrics to the song which were then translated into Sokovian by WandaVision's language coach, Courtney Young.

We've been waiting for you

Now you are here

More perfect than I imagined

Our house is now a home (our house is now a nest)

No matter where you go

Sunlight shines on you

"The last part about the sunshine," explained Schaeffer, "this is cheesy but I'm going to tell you, there was a song in my prenatal fitness class that was very woo-woo; that [last line references] the longtime sun that we would sing [about]. It was my first baby and I would sing it to him, so that's just a little thing for my own kid."

Written by Jac Schaeffer and directed by Matt Shakman, WandaVision stars Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, Paul Bettany as Vision, Randall Park as Agent Jimmy Woo, Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, and Kathryn Hahn as Agnes. New episodes air Fridays on Disney+.
