Empire's January issue gave WandaVision stars a '70s inspired makeover.

Recently, the magazine released its standard and subscriber covers, spotlighting Paul Bettany's Vision and Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch in a groovy way, as seen on its website.

The standard cover features Vision sporting sideburns and shaggy hair, while Wanda wears a multicolored, flowy blouse. The image is seen as blurring in and out of reality, inspired by the series initial poster debut.

The subscriber cover features Vision's head, slowly unraveling as Wanda uses her powers. Given that the series has hinted at Wanda's powers spiraling out of control, this cover leaves viewers with a foreboding vibe.

The January issue of Empire will feature interviews with actors Olsen and Bettany, as well as Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige and series director Matt Shakman. The series will serve as a prequel to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Shakman and Feige have been upfront about how classic sitcoms inspired WandaVision, sharing that its pilot was filmed in front of a live studio audience as part of its homage to the genre.

Written by Jac Schaeffer and directed by Matt Shakman, WandaVision stars Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch, Paul Bettany as Vision, Randall Park as Agent Jimmy Woo, Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau and Kathryn Hahn as Agnes. The series premieres on Jan. 15, 2021, on Disney+.
